I would not think Free Matter to be ethical, since the material is in print.

Subject: [Menvi-discuss] need assistance with brailling materials
Hello,
This is slightly off topic, but I am wondering if someone can
still help me. I have a couple of phonics books my cousin gave
me to use with my students when I start reading tutoring.
Unfortunately, they are in print. I would normally call National
Library Service and ask them if they have them or know someone
who can Braille them, but due to the government shutdown, they
are closed. Therefore, is there any way someone who transcribes
print material into Braille could do these for me? I am hoping to
find someone who can do it "Pro Bono." These are just regular
print books with no music in them. I could mail them to your
house. If anyone is able to help, please write me offlist at
piano.girl0299 at gmail.com and we can work out the logistics. I do
not have the capability to do this myself. Since they are being
put into Braille, can I use a free matter for the blind stamp?
Thanks in advance,
Kelsey Nicolay
